Peterkin Psychology Services is expanding!

We are very excited to let you know that Peterkin Psychology Services is now expanding with increased hours and new associates joining the service. We are now able to offer a more flexible service with both video and in-person assessment and therapy sessions available. We are able to offer sessions throughout the day and early evening on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays. We are able to offer support to those self-funding or paying through medical insurance (Aviva, BUPA, WPA, Vitality and more).

Dr Jo Peterkin founded the service in 2016 and has extensive experience across NHS and Social Care services. She draws on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Compassion Focused Therapy (CFT), a cognitive analytic approach and systemic family work to support adults, children and families with a range of emotional difficulties, behavioural problems and mental health disorders. Jo has previously worked as the lead psychologist for a perinatal mental health team and has a particular interest in supporting those who are pregnant or new parents. She has specialist skills in parent-infant mental health and attachment difficulties.

Dr Zoe Scott is able to draw upon a range of therapeutic models, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Compassionate Focused Therapy (CFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Systemic approaches. Zoe also works as part of the Psychological Medicine Team at Addenbrookes Hospital. Zoe says: “I believe in the value of adopting a person-centred approach to ensure that the adults and children I work with receive the right support for them. I work collaboratively with individuals to support them to explore and make sense of their emotional distress in a safe and supportive environment”.

Dr Anne-Marie Lister who has most recently joined our service has extensive experience of working across NHS services, student services and private practice. She brings a wealth of experience and training together to help with generalised anxiety, coping with stressful life events, health anxiety, phobias and social phobias, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress, depression, weight management and post viral fatigue management. She is able to work with people whose physical health is impacting on their psychological wellbeing and has extensive experience of working in health settings.
